Wednesday, February 1st:  The Stanford Charger wrestling team won their 100th consecutive conference match Wednesday afternoon with an 87 - 6 win over Gravelly Hill.  Monte Mitchell got the night started with a pin.  Xavier Williamson, Cameron Price, Juan Torres, and Bryse Wilson followed with pins.  Trey Palmer got the crowd fired up with an exciting come from behind victory.  Rowan Nygard, Jesse Foushee, Grant Thompson, Sawyer Winfrey, Nich Bazzone, Zayne Smith and Justin Watts had exhibition victories.

 

Wednesday, January 25th:  The Chargers traveled to Southern Roxboro on Wednesday and left with their 99th straight conference win.  The Chargers host Gravelly Hill next Wednesday, February 1, for a chance to win their 100th consecutive conference match.

 

Wednesday, January 18th:  The Chargers had a late night on Wednesday after their match with Northern was moved to Person High at 7pm.  The Chargers performed well in their second mathup with Northern Roxboro, winning 82-18.  Foushee, Williamson, Price, Caudill, Garcia, Coates, Guy, Giordano, Torres, Wilson, Lemaster, Riley, and Mcpherson all had wins.

 

Wednesday, January 11th:  In a quick match with Southern, the Chargers scored pins in 7 of the 8 matches wrestled.  Earning those pins were Williamson, Flynn, Coates, Palmer, Floweres, Torres, and Giordano.  The 90 to 6 victory moved the Chargers season record to 8 and 0 and extendended their conference win streak to 96.

 

 

Friday January 7th:  The Chargers returned from Christmas break with a strong 81 to 9 victory over the Bulldogs from Stanback.  This was the Chargers 95th straight conference win.  Mitchell, Williamson, Charlie Fitzpatrick, Caudill, Flynn, Coates, Palmer, Guy, Flowers, Torres, Wilson, Lemaster, and McPherson all earned victories.  Picking up wins in exhibition matches were Jalen Jones, Jamison Askew, Robert Piscitelli, Sam Laws, and Jordan Farrington.

 

Friday December 16th:  On Friday, the Chargers traveled to the other side of town to take on the Grizzlies of Gravelly Hill.  The Chargers wrestled tough to a 83-6 victory.  Mitchell, Williamson, Price, Caudill, Flynn, Coates, Palmer, Guy, Harkinson, Torres, Wilson, Lemaster, Rimmer, and McPherson all had victories.  Jesse Foushee, Matthew Link, Rowan Nygard, and Thomas Cole had exhibition victories.

 

Wednesday, December 14th:  The Chargers wrestled a double-header against Phillips and Northern.  In the Phillips match, Stanford beat the Falcons 77-15.  Mitchell, Williamson, Price, Caudill, Coates, Palmer, Guy, Flowers, Torres, Wilson, Lemaster, Stone Edwards, and McPherson all had victories.  In the second match of the night, the Chargers had a hard battle against the Raiders from Northern.  The Charger came out on top 70-15.  Scoring victories for the Chargers were, Mitchell, Williamson, Caudill, Flynn, Coates, Guy, Flowers, Torres, Wilson, Lemaster, Riley and McPherson.  Garrett Rimmer also picked up a victory in his exhibition match.

 

Friday December 18th:  The Chargers defeated a physical and tough McDougle team on Friday 78 to 18.  Mitchell, Williamson, Price, Gonzalo Garcia, Coates, Palmer, Guy, Flowers, Harkinson, Wilson, Lemaster, Dalton Wheeler, and McPherson all picked up victories.  Thomas Cole, Sawyer Winfrey, Justin Watts, Jordan Farrington, Jacob Giordano, and Blake Taylor had victories in exhibition matches. 

 

Friday, December 2nd:  Stanford traveled to Smith for the first road trip of the season.  The Chargers came away with a dominant 87 to 6 victory over the Cyclones.  Monte Mithcell, Xavier Williamson, Cameron Price, Grayson Caudill, Jonathan Flynn, Alex Coates, Trey Palmer, Joseph Flowers, Jache Harkinson, Juan Torres, Bryse Wilson, and Drew Lemaster all scored pins while Taylor Guy won by decision and Jared Riley and Spencer McPherson won by forfeit.

Wednesday, November 30th:  The Chargers opened the season with a solid 90-6 victory of the Bulldogs of Stanback.  Getting wins for for the Chargers were Jesse Foushee (fft), Xavier Williamson (pin), Cameron Price (pin), Grayson Caudill (pin), Jonathan Flynn (pin), Alex Coates (pin), Trey Palmer (fft), Taylor Guy (pin), Joseph Flowers (pin), Jache Harkinson (pin), Juan Torres (fft), Bryse Wilson (fft), Drew Lemaster (pin), Jared Riley (pin), Spencer McPherson (pin).  In exhibition matches, Rowan Nygard, Jamison Askew, Robert Piscitelli, Zach Albright, Charles Merritt, Gonzalo Garcia, Morgan Johnson picked up wins.


Chargers Win 11th Straight OPAC Tournament

On Saturday, February 11th, the Chargers traveled to McDougle Middle School to compete in the 9 team OPAC Wrestling Tournament.  The Chargers finished first, with a commanding 100 + point victory and 9 conference champions.
